It is not an autonomous agent with open access to your company’s infrastructure. The Copilot operates within the Shastra environment and reaches only the integrations you have explicitly configured.

It is not a chat bubble bolted onto a dashboard. It is the primary way you operate the product, and every answer maps to something you can open, verify and change.

It does not make decisions on your behalf. Where a judgement carries consequences, such as a severity, a legal basis or whether to enforce, that judgement stays with a person.

How does the Compliance Copilot work?

You describe what you need in your own words. The Copilot interprets that against your configured governance state in Shastra and responds with the relevant state, the actions available, and what it would change, all of which you can inspect before anything happens.

Is the Copilot connected directly to our infrastructure?

No. It operates through Shastra and the integrations you have explicitly configured. It is not given open access to your systems, and you control what it can reach.

Does it replace a privacy or legal team?

No. It is designed to remove the busywork and make the state of your governance legible. Judgement calls with legal consequences remain human decisions.
